My dear Moore,
This is to introduce Mr. A. Morse,
who for the most part is the Chief Accountant of
the Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation but
devotes much of his spare time to the financial
problems of the Hong Kong University, of which he
is the Treasurer. In that capacity he gives us
invaluable and unstinted service and he is ready
to carry on with it during his leave, if he gets
the chance.
Will you be good enough to hear what he
has to say and, if possible, to get him half-an-hour
with the Secretary of State? I have given him an
introductory letter in that quarter. We have some
fundamentally important problems before us in the
University and Mr. Morse can throw much light upon
them.
Sir Henry Moore, C.M.G.
